OWNERS

David and Marilyn Knight are the developers and current owners of AUTOWASH EXPRESS-FRANKLIN. The Knights moved to Franklin in 1992 where they left a sixteen years career in real estate sales. Their intention in moving south was, first, to escape the cold, snowy, cloudy weather of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin a suburb of Milwaukee, where they made their home. Second, they sought to either buy or develop a small business. Shortly after arriving in Franklin they asked the location of the local full-service car wash. They learned there was none in Franklin. After visiting a carwash in a neighboring community to get their car washed they concluded that Franklin needed a fast, efficient, state-of-the-art full-service car wash facility. In January, 1998, after intensive research of the car wash industry, their new business opened under the name Spotless Carriage Carwash. Two years later the name was changed to AUTOWASH EXPRESS-FRANKLIN to reflect conceptual changes which were made at the facility to expedite the wash process as well as create a more efficient car wash service.
In May of 2008 the Knights opened a new state-of-the-art express exterior car wash in Spring Hill. The wash features washes starting at $3.00 and free vacuums.

The Knights are members of the Cool Springs Chamber of Commerce, The Spring Hill Chamber of Commerce and the International Carwash Association. David is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Franklin.
